Hi, I’m Adam
Adam Coon
Security leader. Atlanta, GA.
I lead information security programs that protect business operations while enabling growth and innovation. My approach is practical: build security capabilities that give leadership clear visibility into risk, ensure controls align with how the business actually operates, and create an environment where teams can move fast because risk is understood and managed intentionally.
My career has been built on turning around underperforming security programs and maturing them into strategic capabilities. In my current role I inherited an environment where tooling had been deployed and then orphaned, and rebuilt it across endpoint, identity, data protection, vulnerability management, detection, and cloud security for a 10,000+ employee environment, including building and certifying an ISO 27001:2022 ISMS. I also stay close to the work, leading response during high-severity events and owning the investigations and brand protection functions that protect the business and the people who trust it.
Today I lead the U.S. security program at Randstad and own security engineering across North America. A lot of my current focus is on securing AI adoption. I authored an AI application security standard, which classifies internally developed AI applications by autonomy and attaches controls for prompt injection, data handling, agency limits, and human oversight, and I represent Information Security on our AI governance committee.
I build and develop the teams that do this work, and my foundation in IT infrastructure and systems engineering shapes how I design controls, evaluate risk, and translate technical complexity into business decisions.
